GMR Airports' subsidiary completes 70% stake purchase in group co

GMR Airports Limited has expanded its portfolio. Its subsidiary, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited, finalized acquiring seventy percent stake in ESR GMR Logistics Park Private Limited. The deal was completed after fulfilling precedent conditions. This acquisition will strengthen GMR's airport-based industrial and warehousing assets. Shares of GMR Airports Limited increased following the announcement.

GMR Airports Limited has now taken charge of cargo operations at Delhi Airport. This follows the revocation of security clearance for Turkish firm Celebi. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security cancelled Celebi's clearance citing national security concerns. Celebi was responsible for ground handling and cargo terminal management. Delhi International Airport Limited confirmed GMR's assumption of responsibilities.
